RABIA BROOKE Renowned worldwide for herexpressive clarity and fearless musical curiosity, Rabia Brooke has been praised for her ability to "create that magical moment with the audience" (Art Link, Zagreb, 2024). Driven by a deep commitment to expanding the violin's living repertoire, she has commissioned and premiered works by Jennifer Higdon, Shawn Okpebholo, Clarice Assad, Chen Yi, and Stacy Garrop, among others. Her recent performances reflect the breadth of her artistry: the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Orchestra of the North Bohemian Theater in the Czech Republic, a collaboration with principal players of the Staatsorchester Braunschweig in Germany, and appearances at Carnegie Hall, Chicago's Orchestra Hall, and the Ravinia Festival, where she performed Bernstein's Serenade alongside Maestro George Stelluto and Jamie Bernstein. As a chamber musician, she has partnered with Rachel Barton Pine, the Formosa Quartet, and members of London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Third Coast Review described her playing as "beautiful and also rather cerebral, placing her in a category that could be called avant-garde for the Millennium." A Chicago native, Ms. Brooke serves as Artist-in-Residence for Nova Linea Musica, where she also curates programming for the organization's community outreach initiatives. She holds a BM from the Juilliard School, where she studied with Joseph Lin and Cathy Cho, and performs on the 1731 Lady Jeanne violin by Antonio Stradivarius, on generous loan. RABIABROOKE.COM
